Biography

From a young age, I've been immersed in the world of drawing and painting, with pencils and acrylics as my go-to mediums. I'm always eager to push my boundaries, constantly experimenting with new techniques and styles to broaden my artistic horizons. My freelance business thrives on pet and people portrait commissions, showcased in my online portfolio. My artistic inspirations span from the timeless works of Van Gogh and Monet to the contemporary brilliance of PAOTY winners Morag Caister and Samira Addo. I've developed a distinctive pixelated/block style in my paintings, achieved with square and flat brushes. In contrast, my landscapes come alive with thick, 3D textures created using palette knives. A signature element of my practice is the use of limited color palettes, typically just three or four colors, which lends a cohesive and harmonious feel to my pieces. Outside of commissioned work, my personal art often explores places and people of significant personal meaning. For example, "Friends at Lulworth Cove" was created as a reflection on the loss of my two dogs.
