I love your four paintings Ali J. They are busy and colourful with plenty to look at. What medium are you using?

Hi thanks for you nice remarks. The main medium is oil paint, on canvas board with a short gesso (gesso plus chalk whitning). I generally paint from memory and pencil sketches. I put on a transparent base for example Alazirin Crimson in this case, let that dry and then paint on top with smallish marks on top with more opaque paint. Also use posca pens for drawing around things, and masking fluids flicked on and then scrapped off when it is dry. Hope that information helps . cheers Ali-j
