Thank you all for your comments. Like most of my drawings this one is in white conte (but on dark green paper not chocolate - slightly warmer). I haven't drawn for a while and I found that my technique is a lot looser and faster now. The break did me good! I've just taken the drawing down and measured it - it is 330mm x 240mm

Alan - thank you for the good comments. I am in a Life group and we meet weekly. The practise is improving my drawing but I feel 'clumsy' when I try pastel. I watercolour life and portrait too with mixed success. Erm well spotted, Rose Madder is my little joke! I think you must hie your own model because they are so beautifully posed - in a group you have to take what you can get and its hard to be in a good position because moving around just causes lots of sighs and tut tuts.
