What a super evocative and dynamic painting, Alan. There is so much passion and strength in the girl's body and attitude of her head. The red dress adds to the feeling of that passion. Very striking work.

Your comments are always gratefully received ...and Val that makes perfect sense - only the other way round, I made the figure less distinct as I worked the left hand side so that she melts into the background. The intention was that the bleeding out and the cloudy background would add to the sense of movement.
