Alan, just love love everything about this painting, the composition is great, the perspective and drawings skills are excellent but to cap everything your pallet and application are superb. I have view your portfolio on both the POL & SAA and your web site and greatly admire your work, as I am a detail man myself but this is one of my favourites.

Thea The large shadow area was painted by floating a very wet wash of ultramarine over the underpainting using a large sable brush whilst wet light red was dropped into the outside,left hand edge. Paint quickly using minimum brush strokes the paint will granulate
