As a child, and then youth I've been keeping parrots, the small kinds as a home pet... My big dream was to have a big one as a friend. I was tempting, also making my first steps few years ago to get my dream come true, but I changed my mind... I realised that the young bird will live long long years, even longer than I... Being bonded to me, it would will suffer loss and emptiness for sure. So I decided not to. But these are so intelligent birds for sure, I've been always impressed by them... Beautiful painting Alan, I do adore the way you bringing your subjects to a life on your paper.
