Like the touch of rose in the muzzle - how (I wonder) did you achieve that?. I think these somewhat disembodied studies work better than those which show limbs - because the proportions can be a touch ... er, well, off.....

The rose? You mean the reddy purple bit? Same as always - Cad red plus pthalo blue plus white... a bit of glazing, a bit of dry brush the usual. Still only using a primary palette plus umbre and white.
