Great sketches as usual! I would be interested in how long some of these take you to get down. Thanks

Adebanji, I never tire of these - they always depict the traveller so well. Taking me back to travelling from Blackfriars to Maidstone only the slow clanking over the bridge changing the rhythm of the train waking me just before my stop. Excellent work.

Thanks Leslie, for all the sketches on that page it took approx 25 minutes from London Bridge to Abbey Wood. I am using a small Daler Rowney A6 sketchbook. Thanks Jeannette- What a journey of blissful rest that would have been from Blackfrairs to Maidstone!

Fab again Adebanji, I think they are gaining real power from being together. They look truly weary, I am lucky I suppose I work mainly from home and dont have to travel on public transport, but it is obviously a rich source of inspiration for you. You are obviously not as jaded as your fellow travellers to be able to produce such fab drawings. Keep posting please, I love them.

Thanks Angela, these guys keep me awake! Going out there to see people for a figurative and urban artist is very essential. I wonder how lost I'll be when I pass my driving test!

Have just discovered your amazing portfolio Adebanji. Such a wonderful utilisation of time on an otherwise tedious daily exercise. Each sketch is a challenge, brilliantly executed. Does anyone ever object to your sketching them? You have compiled a real social history here, have you thought of donating your books to a museum in the future?

Thanks Brenda-Yes once in a blue moon-would someone object and I just stop immediately with all respect. But 99 times out of 100-the people will agree! Sometimes they even ask me to e-mail them the sketches. I never thought of this, do you know any museums that might be interested?.

Why not try 'London Transport Museum. Covent Garden Piazza, London. WC2E 7BB. If you 'Google' it and look for their 'collecting policy' that might point you in the right direction. I have kept a diary for over 40 years and it was suggested to me that a Museum might be interested in the diaries - purely for the social history. Good luck!
