This is truly magnificent Carl. The shadows, the light, the 3D effect are all part of making the viewer feel as if they are in the scene.

It's showing OK on my screen, except that I can't get the whole picture on it: still, the thumbnail is what drew me here... This looks like an idyllic place to live - until the moment the clouds descend, the midges swarm, the damp seeps through your walls or the snow blankets you wee homestead! But = it's another magnificent painting (to think, by the way, that there are people daft enough to want to climb that thing....).
