A cracker, a wonderful subject. Frith was a brilliant photographer. Much of what he photographed has gone, but not on the Nile, I'll bet you could make a similar picture today.

One I have just finished from a black and white photograph taken by Francis Frith between 1856 and 1859. That was on one of his trips up the Nile where this yacht would carry all the equipment he needed to take his photographs as he explored and travelled. I have tried to capture one of those moments in my painting.
