I would be grateful for suggestions for improvement. "Autumn Fire" is a recent painting in oils. I know that the background colour is too bright, if I did a similar one I would tone it down. Any other suggestions?
I would leave it as it is. The only thing I would suggest is the sky be lighter on the horizon to throw the trees forward a little and maybe a few undulated trunk shadows on the forest floor to add interest. Hope this helps. Nice work.
Im not sure I like the green leaves, they distract me hugely from the beautiful autumn colours you have pianted. The floor works, the branches seem to merge too much, maybe it's because of the green leaves? Somehow there's an effect you have on the floor which is missed in the branches. Having said all that, it's terrific and I wish I'd done it!! I like it a lot. D
Lets not forget it is an, Autumnal scene, and there are usually more leaves on the ground than on the trees, and also it is a, semi abstract. If you do another why not try a few pale blue leaves instead of green... what do you think.
