That would be different, Marjorie - but the OP didn't say that, so I assume it wasn't..... I wouldn't paint in oil over thick acrylic paint though, either; whether acrylic gouache or just plain acrylic. I know people do paint in oil over acrylic, but - well; I wouldn't.
