I've mapped this roughly from my sketch, on a  canvas frame 25x30cm.  Decided to use acrylics, not sure if it will work, I have a vision of light shining through the stained glass windows above this throne.  This started as a bit of fun, hope to keep it going , this my original sketch

Added colours to marble posts and rough chairs not sure if this will work as I think it's a bit dark

I've painted more details on my subject, and adjusted chairs with legs and seats, studs and carvins shapes and shades,

Not sure this one in working they way I expected...I've not cover the background with soft grey and white to let in the light And added more layers of paint to my subject. ..

Had to alter feet needed to be bigger. Lol. And added reflections to glasses and face. Shadows are in abundance here, unable to replicate but managed to show a few. Seems I need a better camera as photo are not as clear,   anyway I'm going to call this done.

Hi Lesley, sorry for late reply, I just found your WIP, and I went through all updates ;) It's been interesting start, good idea for painting, and a great challenge regarding the lights getting through the windows! I did try something similar in past, so I know how difficult it is. I think you did succeed to show that light just well enough to compliment your art ;)
