Hello....sorry for the lack of comms.... Only really gotten back to painting since the ankle fracture....dislocation and torn tendons....and this time I do have a Sick note for not attending the forum 😁😁
So working on the book cover which can't be shown, so here is something else I'm doing.
Its basically a Sapper searching for IEDs in Afghanistan. Once done it will be given to raffle at the REA dinner in September.....

Knowing when to stop is probably one of the most valuable things any painter can learn: along with knowing when to i) scrape it off and start again, ii) when to add a further layer - 'don't fiddle' may be good advice in general, but we all need to fiddle a bit.
However - I agree with AG's own assessment: this is a telling image as it stands and requires no embellishment.
