Seems even with an easel I'll always be a floor sitter.

:D it's a cat (sorry about the photo being the wrong way around) and yes I am wearing my pyjamas!
And thank you, it's seems with me and colour I have to go big or go home! Although I did put a very thin wash of white over the body as i felt it was in danger of dominating when I want the focus on the face.

Well the head is tilted, and you're seeing more of the cow's left side than the right, so the usual thing would be to emphasize the left eye (its left eye, not our left side as we look). At the moment, though you're back down to the basic sketch, it looks a little as though you're not sure which eye to make the more prominent; perhaps the edge of the left eye, as it were - the inside corner, should be a little nearer the muzzle - it's hard to say, though!
You're working from an original photo, I presume - so in your place I should study that very carefully and see how your drawing matches up: sounds so delightfully simple, doesn't it? And isn't, of course. Failing that, out into the field, literally, and give a few cows a good hard stare (not enough to induce in them a feeling they've done something wrong: we don't want cows with complexes..) and take a few photos or sketches, better still, always remembering that your new cows might be built a bit differently from your original study. Don't worry if the cow looks a bit sinister at first, you can adjust that - the point is to get the basic shapes right.

You've had an offer to buy ALREADY? (Seethes with jealousy....)
There's no such thing as too big to post if the price of the postage is included in your charge for the picture; I've had people collect pictures from me before, and must admit I MUCH prefer that; there's always the worry about posting anything that something will go wrong; though - I've been lucky so far. But don't lose a sale because you're afraid of the postal charges, just tell 'em what the charge is and leave it to them: it ought to be much (much) less than the cost of the painting.

About a year ago I sent a couple of paintings I did for my sister and I remember googling the cheapest way to send a parcel and it came up with a comparison website and I chose from there. Of course you will be sending it abroad. As for your blank space on the wall - hey, you're an artist - you can paint another one.😁
