I’ve currently got the painting bug and am driving full speed. My latest project is a secretary bird head study. Any ideas or comments would be greatly received.

That's going to be quite arresting when done. Very strong. Nice. Are you intending to 'fade out' the neck in order to keep focus on the head?

Coming along nicely - I saw a video the other day of one of these characters taking a very firm line with a cobra: lightning fast reactions, and  a lethal kick - so if you're working from  life, and I'm not saying you're a snake - watch yourself.... these are birds that mean business.

I’m intending to have it looser as it gets further down the neck.
