Detailed pencil sketch for a pen and ink drawing of Pensford Church, bridge and viaduct...lots of stonework.
Bari - 'lots of stonework': you'll be in your element: like a pig in...... no, hang on, not QUITE like that now I come to think of it...  More, 'right up your street': yes - that's much better.

Stage three
You know Bari, I think you have given a whole new, and better, meaning to the phrase 'bricking it'.  It's great work that many of us appreciate despite the envy we may have for your 'eye' and 'hand'.
Looking super Bari.
Thanks Tony & Denise, interesting you say eye to hand , that's what I teach in my art class. It's the ability to switch off your brain and draw what you actually see not what you think you see. Stage 3
Interesting point Bari and another detailed drawing coming along well.
Thanks Tessa. Stage 4

The finished drawing
There was a time - around 55 years ago - when I too was addicted to bricks (and stones).  I did numerous drawings, in those old grey wavy-line covered  sketchbooks Rowneys used to make, with my 4B Staedtler Tradition pencil, and probably a bit of ink - and I have lost every damn' one.  I doubt very much that they were as good as my memory tells me they were, but I'm going to dive into my trove of sketchbooks to see if I can find just one of them, so I can prove that I too had the obsession. But I did leave it behind: probably, I was getting oblongs before the eyes - I don't really remember.  Had I persevered - you and I might be rivals today! Oh, PS - it's an outstandingly good drawing.
