40 x 40cms square board. Yesterday I started a "between the huts" rework of an oil I did some years back. This is a new acrylic, not over the original oil (no can do). Blocked in some initial shapes and a basic pencil drawing of the huts, then realised I wasn't inspired by this even after adding more figures of kids playing hide and seek. I sought out an image in the WetCanvas image library and here is the progress so far after turning the board 90 deg. It will be quite a challenge. Won't do any more today as going out for boozy lunch.

Worked on corrections like ellipses - not convinced yet, proportions, the form of the cabinets and added a glass image. Trying to get an antique mahogany apperance to the wood, blue and purple tones added. Probably won't do much tomorrowas intending to Urban Sketch if weather hold fine.

Confess I am ellipsed out. Hour or so this mornng, tweaking and turning it and think this is about it. Made the centre off centre and strengthend part of the blue back ground to show shapes a bit better. Stuff to do now, including some muscle in turning the mixture my wife is putting together for our daughter's wedding cake.

Veering towards a glass bowl at moment. Not intentionally. There is a lot of decorative moulding on the outside and not sure I can attempt that successfully. Beefed up the blue background. Might leave the side of the cabinet in this state as it'sold wood and lots of reflections could be around to form the marks. It is painted on top of a previously not happy with work. Maybe should add some fruit or something in the glass bowl if it stays this way.

A new pic in this thread Syd, would appreciate your further words. Thought I had addedit yesterday, can't have pressed the button. Aiming to place a bottle to the left and behind the bowl. Should tweak the fruit too

Fair and good point thanks Syd. The shapes and bulk of the bottle are in with colours of Diazapon Mauve and Prussian Blue, so will carry on unless a deletion colour comes to mind.

Bottle in, needs details and highlights, Blue too strong, switch it to ochre or gold maybe? Help.
