From Last Saturday urban sketching on Southampton Common I am attempting to create a piece utilising the colour of the funfair. My sketch is already posted and that's the idea. Thie is stage 1, with a pieces of heavy cartridge paper and strategic splurges of Gesso.

Thank you Sylvia. This will be the last work until we get back sometime next week froma caravan rally in Lychett Minster. I will take the sketching grea with me of course.
This is work I did today on the fairground (when closed) it is 35x25cms on heavy cartridge paper.
Aimed to get the darks in first following the article by Amanda Hyatt in The Artist magazine.
