The caption says it's a study in graphite but I believe that he also may have used a bit of charcoal due to how dark some of the marks are and some of the shading that he has done but that's just me. I like practicing the time honored way to gain new technique's and really just good practice habits. I usually try to put myself in the mindset of the artist by trying to mimic the technique's and in what order they were executed. Hardly an easy feat by the way. Anyways this is how the artist left the study, unfinished maybe maybe not. I really loved the amount of details or lack thereof beautiful his line work has such a economy, is extraordinary and inspiring to me and to be able to get a likeness with so few lines is beyond incredible to me. That's why I had to try to replicate it as is! Does anyone know how to make my upload image rotate correctly? Or Know why it uploads this way. I noticed the width and height edit option but what's the numbers I should type to make image fit so nobody has to scroll or pinch screen to see whole thing? Thanks. Suggestions and comments greatly appreciated and welcomed.

I believe this has something to do with Ipads, and the way up you hold them when taking the picture - it's been raised several times before.  But my knowledge, since I don't use one, goes no farther than that.
I use an iPad to take photos and yes it happens when you turn the iPad between landscape and portrait to take the photo.  The way round this I was told (thanks Tessa) is to go into the photo, edit it slightly then save.  It should then upload the correct way round. Worked for me.
Yep that should sort it. I found out the hard way. Technology can be very frustrating!
Worked for me too!
