Here's a novelty - I'm timing myself as I work on this one, for the first time. Now I'm going to try and make a viable business out of my work I thought it was a worthwhile activity. This is five hours in - 12x12", oils on canvas. I've blocked most of it in and hope to add the detail before the weekend. Anth
Good for you Anth - will look forward to seeing how it progresses.
Looking good already. I've only timed myself once, I think - with an acrylic which I showed to someone, told them I'd taken whatever time it was, about an hour possibly less, and he said "Um. I really hate it". But then he has a somewhat literal mind. I quite like it....
Hope you struck him off your Christmas card list Robert.
Now Adele, would I do a thing like that? No indeed. I buried him at the bottom of the garden. There was a lovely display of marigolds over the spot this year.....
Love marigolds hope he does too!
Timing ones self.... I couldn't do that. An hour here... a few there and more then. But i's looking good so far.
It's not something I'd ordinarily do, but I'm looking at - dare I say it - 'commercial viability' :)
Thanks Syd!
Getting there... May try and finish that hubcap off tonight, then do some work on the wing to pull that together, then I reckon it's done! Anth.
It's looking terrific Anth, fab work.
Thanks Margaret! Had another session tonight and, barring some tweaking here and there, it's done: Sounds like there's a good chance it may be shown at the Ford Technical Centre at Dunton next month, which would be pretty amazing!
