Current commission. Quite a delicate one.... Evie passed away last year aged just 5... Leukemia... This painting will be a gift to her mummy and daddy in July.... I tinted the canvas using raw sienna which worked well with flesh tones. I need to work out reflections of the balloon and reflections of colour on her skin.... Comments welcome.

A very difficult task AG, considering the circumstances. I did a similar one myself. The only thing I would say is that the arm looks a little heavy for a little girl - the upper part is fine, it's the lower part. Otherwise, lovely.

A lovely thing to do. I agree with Marjorie re her arm. Though I'm sure you will get it all right on the night. I think that balloon is looking good.

Wow this is a massive task Ant but with your talent I'm sure it will look wonderful and her parents will be delighted. Agree about her arm but the balloon is coming along nicely.

Evie looks wonderful Ant, you have painted it really well. The balloon also looks fabulous, I'm sure the little girl's parents will be thrilled with it.
