Started this one today, and i’m Flying along! Hope to keep some momentum up on it and have it done for the end of February. Anth
There's no stopping you Anth! I'm sure it will look wonderful and I will watch the progress.
Absolutely on FIRE today Margaret! More progress from this evening... Anth.
This bird's on fire, Anth, and coming along very nicely. It's always good to watch how these develop. Keep at it! Bri
Thanks, I will Bri, and I've been cracking on tonight!: Getting the easy bit out of the way first because the trees are going to be a bugger! Anth.
Interesting that you think the trees will be a bugger - I'd find the car a hell of a lot more difficult: but I suppose you've a passion for the one and not for the other; whereas in my case it would be the other way around.
Ditto that Bri
It's a bit like the last Mustang painting I did - I flew through the cars but it took me months to finish the background! Hopefully that won't be the case this time, but I haven't painted trees with this kind of detail before so we'll see how it goes. Anth
Thanks Tessa! The method is known, by some, as 'paint by numbers' :) Had a night off this one last night, finishing the canvas edges of the Diner painting off, so got back onto it tonight - grille, glass blocked in and trees! Anth
Had another good night on the Firebird - thanks to Bob Ross! Saw him painting trees with a flat brush a while ago so gave it a go with an old, slightly stiff fan / blender brush and it worked a treat. Anth
And there was you worrying about painting trees. I like the delicacy of the branches and twigs, and the bushes are so convincing. They look great and the rest is looking superb as well. Bri
Cheers Bri! The trees/bushes need some more shadow and twigs adding but I'll get that sussed. Think I'm going to get that front wheel done next, then the car's virtually done! Anth
