Can anyone kindly give me advice on my first acrylic painting before i go any further. All responses very appreciated.
I think add some greys and darker darks into the greens and maybe soften the reflections. Correct the perspective on the riverside structure. Lovely subject know it well and you're doing OK annlou
The cathedral from that side of the river looks a lot darker against the sky; it really dominates the skyline.
Re: adjusting colours in acrylic. You can apply a glaze in acrylic by diluting your colour with acrylic medium and consequently put a thin layer of whatever colour on top of the dry paint. e.g. crimson or burnt sienna as suggested.
