Thank you Marjorie and Denise.  I think I should have made the outer, righthand edge of the bowl a bit narrower...it’s catching my eye.
What are we like! I know what you mean, I'm exactly the same....with ellipses if you turn the painting upside down all becomes clear.
I agree it looks lovely, Fiona.  A "Foil " is a bit of the complementary colour.  At the moment the canvas itself is acting as the foil, but I'm unsure how much of this you intend to k in the picture.
You never stop learning.....Marjorie thank you for that tip, I’ve tried it, it works! Linda, now I understand, thank you for explaining. I won’t be covering the rest of the support, it’s only been an exercise and to use up left over paint.  Thanks to you both.
It looks lovely, Fiona. I love those muted colours. Marjorie gave me the ‘upside down’ tip it does work.
Well ladies I have learned  something new from you today, foil and eclipse!! Fiona your painting is fresh looking, great use of left overpaint.
Thank you Ellen and Linda. Yes good tips.....it’s easy this painting lark isn’t it....ha! 🤔😉
