As most of you know, or maybe you don't, I love Mythology.. All mythology, all cultures, especially Greek... I wanted to paint another mythology inspired work.. This is another project I am working on just for myself... This is a 25 or 30 min minute concept layout for a new work.. Just playing with some ides here... Just using some stamp brushes, airbrushing, and a number 5 paintbrush, and a digital ink pen... I wanted to paint a Temple for Aphrodite in a paradise type Garden...
Starting the real work here.. Using Line Tools, shape fill tools, watercolor brushes, blenders and such... I know I am going to have to work on the temples and stone work and plants harder than anything else as that will be the focus....I am trying to refine more here by putting in texture, shadows, create more interest...
Continuing the same process here.. I decided to take the Sun and sun rays out of the sky and make a palm tree instead...  It would look stupid otherwise.. I mean all the light comes from the sun anyways.... I worked a lot on the Temple and stone work, and I am better defining the mountains, background and sky.....Shape fill tools work great for this building structure and such...
Still refining everything and adding details and changing some other details.... Almost done, not quite.....
Just about done now... Still needs further refining and blending.. I worked more on the temple structures and plants, flowers, water.... Still need to make sure there is no pixelation and will use Corel Paintshop Pro to increase Color Saturation ,vibrancy, brightness, contrast, and such before the final image is ready for printing.... Hope you like.. may not make sense historically...pure fantasy that was born from my imagination...  I would like to see this in real life...
A dreamy image, Eric. I like the gentle pastel colours you are using.
Fascinating to watch how you develop the image.  It's all coming together.  I particularly like the sky and the distant mountains.
