In weather like this I would normally be out and about with my sketchbook. All my 'stuff' is at the studio some distance from home. I have returned to the interest that started me off on this art and design thing more than fifty years ago; letterform. But I don't have the materials here to re-visit calligraphy so I've turned to collage, something I've done very, very little of to date. It's keeping me occupied, keeping the creative juices ticking over (juices ticking over?) and I'm enjoying it.
I'm approaching it in much the same way as I approach my paintings and drawings; multi-layered, with each layer being laid down and then 'disrupted' in some way. There are maybe eight or nine layers so far and more since this photo was taken early today.
