We are desparately in need of a few new threads and I don't recall this one being posted unless it was before my time in the forum.
Watercolour is generally recognised as being the most difficult of mediums and yet it seems to be the most popular one chosen by beginners. Is it perceived as being the easiest for starting up in that equipment and paints etc are easy and relatively simple to acquire and possibly cheaper then other mediums? Is it that nearly all beginners classes are in watercolour?
