After the lengthy debate about multiple posters and how they affect other users getting enough exposure on the first few pages to get comments on their work, I wanted to ask people about their reasons for commenting on work in the first place.
What makes you leave a comment on a painting? Do you only comment on the ones painted in the medium you work in? Do you prefer to comment on certain subjects only? Do you comment to give advice and point out what you think is wrong with a painting? Do you never comment? Do you only comment on 'friends' work? Do you comment as a reciprocal gesture?
I could go on as there must be lots of reasons why people do or don't leave a comment. I just thought it might be interesting to hear what they are.
