When i started out watercolouring I never gave much thought to the choices of paint
I have tried practically every make ,,we all have our own likes and dislikes
I hear" well winsor and newton dry to hard .I like a paint that is soft in the pan "
I like one with honey in it ""I like one with gum arabic .and so on,
but thinking about this ..would it not be easy for a maker to add more honey ,and save paint , or gum arabic ,you can have it as soft as you want, but would I,because ,I have bought large tubes ,from makers that seem to empty very quickly ,one is able to mix the paint by squeezing the tube more or less, also you can open you palette and find the paint is running all over the place,
I think ,and it is only my thinking ,I would not impose it on others ,but a hard pan that reconstitutes easily is better than a soft pan that is weak and sticks on the end of your brush even after it is left for days ,,if you like a sticky pan try one from dare I say
