Does anyone know if the type of water affects the results in a watercolour painting?
My area is very thick with calcium or limescale (?) deposit in it's water and I must use distilled water in my iron etc. My kettle is always very quickly thickly coated inside. I just wondered if this would affect my painting? Could I use distilled water or would there be little difference.
When I lived in Scotland my taps and kettles looked shiny and new all the time but here it is just horrible. I haven't thought about the effect on my paintings before.
