Having noticed the offer [in Leisure Painter] for a trial subscription to The Artist I wonder if there is [real] benefit in art magazines. I have a subscription to Leisure Painter and find it useful, some issues more so than others. Have also had helpful contact with some contributors but do wonder about overall benefit. The Forum is very useful in a manic sort of way - blends good solid advice with the comforting thought that I am not the only one not in the asylum.
