I'm replenishing my stock of sketchbooks, erasers, and watercolour paper: I may not be a great watercolourist, but I like to have a bash now and then. Two purchases might interest those of you looking for different papers to try. I bought a sample pack of Baohang paper from Ken Bromley - it arrived via Royal Mail within days; and a block of Hahnemühle Rough Torchon, direct from Hahnemühle UK: now get this - I ordered it yesterday; it arrived just after noon today, again via Royal Mail: beat that!
I expect the Rough Torchon, which I've used before, though in a much smaller size, is available from the usual suppliers, but I couldn't find it anywhere else other than the company's own UK site. It's a beautiful paper - if you've not tried it, do. They sell a variety of different papers, the only other one I've tried being their Britannia range. I'll let you know how I get on with the Baohang - Bromley's should still have some trial packs; my next shop will be for more ACF canvas, for oil and acrylic. But I do need to restrain my spending arm...
Incidentally, my Bromley consignment was packed by a lady named Blessing - which I'm sure it'll prove to be (apologies if Blessing isn't a lady at all, but I assume she is; or they are; or however you're supposed to describe people these days).

I also got a delivery from Royal Mail today. I ordered Sunday I think and had a message yesterday to say it would be delivered today. Mine was from Jacksons. I've got to say, I'm always impressed with the quality of the packaging from Jacksons. I think, if left outside it would easily withstand a heavy thunderstorm and the goodies inside would be untouched. Things like that matter because you know a company wants to deliver a product to its customer at its best. Anyways, I ordered a box of Nitram assortment for my Nitram charcoal holder and some Hahnemuhle toned watercolour paper. I've never used toned watercolour paper before. I'm going to try it out tomorrow. I think it's exciting venturing into new territories. The worlds gone mad Robert. The umbrella term I guess for describing anyone if unsure, must be a person. I'm in no doubt anyone could moan or drum up a fuss about that. A person named Blessing. See, no need for apologies, assumptions or anything else.
