I did a watercolour some time ago ,using Arches Rough 140lb paper being more used to Not paper. the painting was. 8x6 ins. approx. and the picture appeared broken up by
the rough surface it didnt look too bad but some bits looked odd particularly grasses
and smallish details.I would like to paint more on rough( I have a large stock of this)
and i would like to have an idea of what size would be a minimum for the rough paper
for the usual landscape. I liked the way the paper helped some bits especially tree
foliage. ...the best part of my painting. do the forum have any helpful remarks on this.
I dont wantto give any one new to the forum the idea that i am a novice, just that I am
new to rough paper, being frightened to try it and make a mess of lovely paper...so no hints on painting please, I have heard nearly all of them thanks!..cheers Syd :-)
