Get two large flat stones. Collect some berries or fruits that are as highly coloured as possible. Pulp the berries/fruit between the two stones until you have a paste. Add a litle water. Find a sharp stick and dip it in the mixture. Get a large pale leaf and paint whatever you want with your twig and pigment mixture.
Alternatively, stand in the middle of the (presumably) small desert island and scream at the top of your voice 'I want my Fabriano Artistico paper, my watercolours and my Isabey squirrels brushes!!!!' - and hope that a passing ship/helicopter/plane/native on island hears you and obliges.
Failing all this, take up knitting - but what to knit with???

Hmm lol. Coconut juice & flowers for colours and dried palm leaf for support or a stick and the beach. Monkey hair brushes. Or my great coconut paint and huge rocks for SOS. Or natural things to make collages or 3D images. A burnt stick for charcoal. etc.....
Plus if i was travelling i would undoubtedly have my pocket sketch book, small pan of watercolour and pencils.
Best wishes Paul.

Time for me to answer.
For support : not much problem since I would find some rocks, stones, wood etc...
For colours I would try natural dyes with plants, minerals, roots etc...
I have started this thread since I was researching natural way to produce colours, we got so many allergies going on.
I had found the website below. Visit it and see how interesting it is.
So many plants can make a good dye !

On my desert island I only wish that I would find at least one for each colour !
