Hi Danzer, Come on in and enjoy probably the friendliest forum on the world wide web! William
Wow! thank you all so much for your kindest welcome, I already feel part of your family now and much more confident too. I have not posted anything on the gallery yet - I still dont have THAT much confidence in my work!! Although I feel I am a confident in my drawing skills, I am still very much a beginner in painting and have just started with watercolours, with quite a few disasters it has to be said. I dont give up though. I want to attend some kind of watercolour tuition, as I think I need some guidance. Anyone got any ideas? The other thing I can mention is that I want to start an Art Club. As you can see my name is Dancer, I am a dance and fitness teacher and have my own dance studio that is a perfect arena for an Art club and for art exhibitions too. There is no art clubs in my town of Huddersfield that I can find and want to start one, has anyone any ideas of whether this would be a good idea or a bad one - any comments would be very welcome indeed. You can have a look at the studio on my webiste www.danceology.org.uk to see if it would be acceptable as a place to display art. Thanks to you all. :-D
Hi Dancer, Thanks for your kind comments. Unfortunately my dogs aren't that well behaved and I can only paint them from reference photographs. I occasionally sketch them as they sleep and go on to produce a painting from that. I'm looking forward to seeing some of your work on the Gallery? Don't be shy or afraid to show your work as you will get lots of help and advice from people on here. Regards, William
