Although I'm getting on agewise (60 years), I'm relatively new to painting and need a little advice. For the past year I've been using a 24 whole pan N&W Student set. I've been very happy with these. I'm now at the stage where I need to replace some of my primary colours and have considered buying tubes and filling my empty pans from them. Looking at a number of my videos and the various art programmes transmitted on SKY TV,most artists use tubes rather than pans. Is this something I should be considering now? I've also thought that I should be progressing to Artist quality for my replacements but am unsure whether these will be complimetary to my remaining Student pans. Any advice would be appreciated.
