hi I miss the times when I used to travel about painting ,and finding a photograph that suits a watercolor is difficult for me.,when I sit outside and look at a scene I usually pick out an item like a cottage or a bridge ,and use that as a guide to the rest of the drawing .I size everything from that one thing .I can bring it closer in the drawing or take it further away this I can,t do the same in a photograph ,,maybe you could take a dozen snaps some close up and some further away ,,but to me the natural thing is to judge things in the human way.and its different ,I can bring a tree closer so it reaches out of the painting ,these things are so exciting if you are out side in the open air. being able to get out and about and view nature in three d as it really is is what i miss most, not looking at a photograph
