For a long time now, my favourite blue has been Daler-Rowney's Monestial Blue - which has been superseded by Pthalo Blue Red or Green Shade. I'm running low now: my old tube of paint is nearly empty. <div>
</div><div>Do any of the experienced watercolourists know which colour, from any manufacturer, comes closest to the old D-R Monestial Blue? It's already been said that Winsor & Newton's Pthalo Blue differs from Daler Rowney's ... and I don't want to go ploughing through every blessed maker I can find until I get the right one.</div><div>
</div><div>So if you too liked to use Monestial Blue, and have found the perfect equivalent - let me in on the secret; you might save me a small fortune in experiment....</div>
