I have just found this and would like to thank all you wonderful people for taking the time to think of us over here in Oz...this is the season of fire and flood...our North West is at a standstill with floods and down here in Perth we are expecting temps in the 40's at the weekend... the fires in Victoria have affected all of us in Australia it feels as if we have been at war...I watched our 4 Corners programme on Monday night with my hand over my mouth crying...I have lived in Australia since 1971 and I have seen some fires but this was something else...fire running uphill like water to say i was horrified is an understatement...and the people with their typical attitudes knuckling under helping each other when they had nothing themselves...just when you think Oz isn't what it used to be something like this occurs and everyone from every state digs in...something like $400,000,000 has been raised already...the heat and winds is one of the reasons I now spend more time on the computer than trying to paint...looking at other peoples work talking to good people and getting good belly laughs from Meltemi just when you need it...all of you Aqua, Norder, Ruthy Phil and all have your fair share of problems with health and worry about dear ones so thank you all for your kind thoughts if only you knew how appreciated it is...I'm so glad to see John back it was quite worrisome for a while there XXX

You are lovely Patsy ! We wish with all our hearts that it all settles quickly over there, the heat, the flood, the fires.......... what a terrible summer you have had. But again I always think that Australians come from exeptional people !
