Well how exciting! Yesterday I came across some forgotten treasure. Seven 5ml tubes of Winsor Newton watercolours and two pans. I must have bought them about five years ago as recommended colours for a course I was doing. At that time I didn't know that Cotman were students quality and as a returner to water colour - I had a lovely wooden boxset of Cotman but didn't have all the colours on the course sheet - so without really knowing much about paints etc, I bought the additional colours, assuming because they were Winsor Newton they were the same. These little ones are artists quality so I am delighted with my lucrative find. Although I have to say I'm not so good yet that I can seriously notice a difference. I bought artists quality for another course this year because that was stipulated but I still use both. Anyway I am delighted to have substantially added to my collection without the financial pain. The tubes still feel soft so I hope they haven't deteriorated over the years. I can't believe I can be dizzy enough to forgotten them..... well...actually I can.. (lol)
