The painting has disappeared because it's gone into a portfolio the artist set up some time ago. they only go onto the second page if they user creates a brand new portfolio. If you created a portfolio say 2 years ago the pictures will have gone into that on some page much further along. The photos are not sorted by date of posting but by date of portfolio. My watercolours for instance go into a portfolio I set up some 3 years ago so it's somewhere around page 40 at a guess. the only way to find teh one you've lost is to go through all the portfolios. or bookmark it once you've added a comment. If you say what the picture was of, someone may remember who did it. Once they have gone off teh front page (which can happen in minutes when someone does multiple posts) then all you can do is search for the artist or go through every portfolio.

I recently read the LP article by Robert Newcombe about Edward Wesson. I was so taken that i found in my local library The Art of Edward Wesson by Ron Ranson. As a complete novice i think his works are fabulous esp the Line and Wash technique using a matchstick and Ink.
This article has def given me inspiration not only to try this technique but also to make sure my palette is a limited one, whilst not copying his.
How does anyone else feel regarding Edward Wesson? His use of a large French Polishers mop and a couple of small brushes and his limited palettes?
Happy New Year to you all.
Robbie.
