Because acrylic paint isn't resoluble - there are interactive brands, which I don't use: whether they can be brought back to life if they harden in the tubes I don't know: it wouldn't recommend the paint to me if they could, because it would mean that acrylic paintings in interactive form would have to be handled as delicately as watercolours or gouache, preferably under glass. Acrylic is a plastic polymer - you can no more re-wet most versions of it than you could revive dried Araldite. Hence the need to ensure the nozzles of tubes are kept clean and caps replaced, because air getting to the paint will dry it hard. http://www.isleofwightlandscapes.net http://www.wightpaint.blogspot.co.uk
when you have finished using the colours, make sure that the lids are screwed back on firmly. Often paint congeals around the top of the tube and makes it difficult to screw the tap down all the way down. You can just scrape it away. As Syd rightly says, Ken Bromley won't sell you rubbish.
