I recently attended a painting demo at Great Bookham Surrey, given by David Bellamy (thats the Artist - not the Professor - Great big Enormous etc etc). David is one of the many artists I greatly admire. The session was open at 11.00 for the sale of books and materials at Advantageous prices, and the demo commenced at 1.00 pm. David completed a gorgeous painting of a waterfall and surrounding countryside by mid afternoon. After a tea break he gave a slide show of painting in some precarious and far flung locations. He is extremely skillful, and pesented his work in a very clear, and amusing, manner. Together with a viewing of a large number of his works at the Lincoln Joyce gallery, which was opposite the venue, it was a delightful day. I would have no hesitation in recommending a visit to his workshops or demos.
