We have a local artist who copies fashion photographers' work, paints an identical version and passes them off as his own. He has even gone so far as to copy a Van Hove sketch line for line and exhibit it for sale as an original (with his signature). Can anyone tell me any of this is legal? I'm not trying to get him into trouble. I just suddenly realised that I don't know what the laws are.
