When I began to dabble in watercolour a few months ago I bought lots of learning discs and a great number of books on the subject by various artists. Everything I read in magazines or online etc. advised a newcomer to read and gather as much info as possible on the subject. My problem now is finding an identity for myself. One minute I like the approach of one artist, then I like the style of another I have seen and then another and so on. *-)
I've tried out several step by step guides, copied landscapes and flowers, all of which I enjoyed doing, but now I seem all over the place not knowing what or where to take it next! I'm looking at crystal & glass now, so am I trying too hard to do everything, should I concentrate on one artist and one subject? I feel that at this point I need some focus. Any advise would be welcome, thank you.
