I've pretty much decided that I need a proper domain name. I've been running a free blogger blog at http://amanda-bates-artist.blogspot.com/ and it's done pretty well but I may be outgrowing it (optimism).
So, first question - is it worth paying extra for a .com address?
(amandabatesart.com and amandabatesart.co.uk are both currently available and the .com costs about three times as much, domain only)
Second question - does anybody here use Wordpress for an art site?
(I do have a Wordpress blog (on a different subject ) and the platform seems far better than blogger. It also gets recommended ocasionally :-) )
Note that (a) I am a bit geeky; and that (b) I want to be able to edit/customise any site I have. To start with, I'll probably just redirect to the existing blogger blog.
