Using wi-fi computer to process Credit Cards

The problem is this. I don't have a merchant credit card processing facility. But to me it seems feasible to have one's paintings on one's website priced with PAYPAL buttons. Then when exhibiting in a hotel, for instance, with WI FI, the person who wishes to buy a painting with a credit card, could sit sit down at my computer, access my website, and then go through the normal procedure of paying with a credit card. The money goes into my Paypal account, through the Paypal Portal. Am I right in thinking this is feasible. Does anyone use this system? What are the problems?

No experience of them, but if you contact Jackson's they have special ddiscounts for educational establishments. Or they did anyway. www.jacksonart.co.uk Just looked at the site you recommend, I see it is American, so if you are likewise go for it. Or have I just been the victim of spam?

The question is similar in form to he usual doubtful stuf we have been having lately from sellers of the meat product you mention..It may be genuine and of so I am prepared to eat my hat and apologise .Or are we just two old cynics ? ...Syd ;-) PS. Don't like the ASW site whic hrequires you to PAY to join before you buy a shed load of art stiff. No way! and no dollars.!
