I have a small block canvas which was damaged during transport between venues....There is a very small indent towards the top. I have been told of a product called Orthoplast, which can be applied and then painted over. Has anyone heard of this or used it? It is apparently used by restorers to repair canvas damage, but I was not told whether it is a tape or a substance. Can anyone advise? I have looked it up on the net, but can only find it as tape..Would it be ethical to use a tape I wonder, re-paint the damaged area, then offer the work for sale?
