I find it confusing when I log into my account and see the number of times my pictures have been viewed because when I go to look at a comment that has been left by someone I find that that the views have gone up 1 because I have looked at the comment. This in my opinion is giving a false number. Am I doing something wrong? I would appreciate an explanation. Also I don't get notified when someone makes a comment on a picture I have posted despite the box being ticked!!! Look forward to reading any replies. Thank you.

I expect, Morgan that the website doesn't deferentiate between who is viewing the painting whether it is another artist or yourself reading a comment. As far as being notified when a comment on one of your paintings is made, when you log in and are in your Account it will show you the top 5 paintings viewed and if you scroll down, it will show you the recent comments made and you can view these to see which paintings they are referring to. Unless anyone else knows differently.

The first issue is common to all websites and blogs that record visitor numbers - they can't distinguish between them; if you look at your own posting, the number of viewings will go up by one, and I don't know of any way of preventing it.
As for lack of notification - various things occur to me, but if you left your email address when you registered, you should receive a notification - I did it too long ago to be able to remember the process, but provided you've not changed your e-mail address since you signed up, you ought to receive them. If not, there's a glitch and I can only repeat the advice that you contact Dawn.
